Scott Aaronson

Scott Aaronson is the Schlumberger Centennial Chair of Computer Science at The University of Texas at Austin and director of its Quantum Information Center. He's best known for his work on quantum computation and complexity theory. He's developed a recent interest in AI safety and spent two years (2022-2024) working on OpenAI's safety team. He's a critic of the religion of "justa-ism."
